MAY Learnings

Well May has come and only has one day left and it certainly has been an interesting month. I have had the chance to speak on several occasions to many different people about Career Chaos. As a matter of fact this is something that it seems many people want to talk about-young or old. I suppose it is human nature to change your mind but I find it so amazing to me that so many people in this world seem to have settled on one job or another. Many people have told me that the thing they are doing now or the thing they would like to do is not exactly what they dreamed of doing when they were little. However, what they do tell me is that it is too late for them. Too late for them to make a change in their life. I can not disagree as I am not in that position but I think there is always something a person can do. Even if it is to do something small on the side and then grow it-grow into a bigger job? more learning? or more of a thriving pulse.

Over the course of the next year I will be investigating this thing called Career Chaos so my questions to everyone are:

what do you do for a living?
what did you take in school?
what did you always want to do?
if you could make changes in your life would you?
what would your dream job be?

finally......what do you do for fun?

  1. It would be interesting to hear from two different types of people and see the differences in their answers:

First, the people whose fun is separate from their work

Second, the people who have brought their fun into their work and have made a career out of it.

I wonder if the second group is happier with their career? I just finished Richard Branson's autobiography and he falls into the category of person #2. Things seemed to have worked out pretty well for him!
